Carmen Powell appointed CEO of ISC Group to lead cross-industry drive towards positive sustainable change for women in Re/Insurance
ISC Group, a leading global business network and industry hub dedicated to amplifying the voice of women in the re/insurance sectors, is delighted to announce the appointment of Carmen Powell as Chief Executive Officer.
Carmen brings extensive experience in the industry having worked for Hiscox, Chartered Insurance Institute and the World Bank Group, as well as working in companies like Iberia Airlines, BT Plc and O2. Building on her role as Interim Managing Director and her, Carmen will continue to lead ISC Group’s purpose of the acceleration of women into leadership in insurance, reinsurance, and related industries. With over 20 years of experience, ISC Group has cultivated a community of over 10,000 members and partnered with over 100 business partners globally. The organisation is a catalyst for industry-wide cultural transformation, fostering a more equitable workplace by promoting fairness through greater gender representation at all levels in business that leverage talent and advance women into leadership roles.
Under Carmen’s leadership, ISC Group is working closely with government and industry leaders to enact substantial, sustainable changes that dismantle barriers and create environments where women at all levels can thrive in business and excel into leadership. This approach positions ISC Group as an enabler our community of women and the businesses shaping the future of there/insurance sector, where gender equity leads to stronger business performance, innovative thinking, and enhanced leadership capabilities.
