ISC Group, a global, not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to the professional advancement of women in financial services with the aim of bridging the gender seniority gap in insurance and reinsurance, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carmen Powell as Interim Managing Director. Carmen will join its global team on the 4^thof March 2024. 

Carmen brings over 20 years of senior marketing experience developing and delivering successful commercial strategies that have accelerated business transformation, produced double-digit growth, and achieved sustainable goals for corporates, SMEs and non-profits.

With expertise in community development and engagement, Carmen will lead the global business development strategy to bridge the gender seniority gap in insurance and reinsurance, as she seeks to strengthen ISC Group’s membership propositions. This key area of the business is an essential part in providing support and leadership, helping accelerate the advancement of women’s careers within the insurance sector. Working with the global team, Carmen will seek to nurture and develop existing partnerships, grow ISC Group’s membership hub and services, and extend the reach of the community to women across the globe. 

As part of her work, she will also raise awareness of the positive contribution of ISC-Group in the sector by enhancing corporate support to businesses’ DEI strategies, as well as supporting and developing ISC’s Group of valued volunteer Ambassadors and Committee members globally.

As a champion of sustainability and ethics at World Bank Group, Carmen was instrumental in driving improvements within the global climate agenda."
